"Inn For Repairs" is a memory painting from a visit to Vineyard Haven en route to Gloucester aboard the Schooner Adventurer for the 2022 Gloucester Schooner Festival. The view is from Gannon & Benjamin Marine Railway’s pier and captures the chaotic ensemble of buildings, boats, and gear in constant slow-motion action. I wanted to convey the aesthetics of the shop in action. There are materials, equipment, and wooden boats everywhere, very much like an artist's studio.
